Silver Needle Press is a literary and artistic collective with a brand new print journal. Vol. 1 (Fall 2018) features poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, visual art, and more in a beautiful full-color publication.
I made the collage "Ruined" out of archival images of destruction from WWII while my mind drew together disconnected family history. It was the coincidence of birth that drafted my grandfathers into different armies. That is a humbling thought as I consider which side of history I'd like to be on and how much freedom of choice I actually have.
